SSCP — Frequently Asked Questions
Which SSCP version is this aligned to?
Questions follow the current ISC2 SSCP exam outline (effective 1 October 2025) and its seven-domain weighting (Security Concepts & Practices; Access Controls; Risk Identification, Monitoring & Analysis; Incident Response & Recovery; Cryptography; Network & Communications Security; and Systems & Application Security). The current outline builds AI security into all seven domains, and in April 2026 ISC2 published guidance mapping AI security concepts across its certifications, including the SSCP — our bank includes AI-related topics accordingly (e.g. securing AI-enabled systems and their data, access control for AI services, and AI-assisted attacks and defences).
How does the Exam Simulation (CAT) work?
The SSCP moved to Computerised Adaptive Testing (CAT) on 1 October 2025, and our Exam Simulation mirrors it: 100–125 adaptive questions weighted across the seven domains, a 2-hour limit, and no going back. Our adaptive engine is proprietary — it selects and weights questions using our own logic to approximate the real CAT; it is not ISC2's actual algorithm and is not affiliated with ISC2. The simulation ends when the outcome is clear or at 125 questions / when time runs out, then shows a per-domain mastery report, a weighted pass/fail, and AI Study Coach feedback.
Is there a time limit?
Yes — the Exam Simulation runs a 2-hour countdown, matching the real exam. When it reaches zero it submits automatically and is scored on what you answered. If you get disconnected, you can resume an in-progress simulation from your access page (the clock keeps running, as it would in the real exam). Practice mode is untimed.
Do I need work experience to earn the SSCP?
To be certified, ISC2 requires a minimum of one year of cumulative work experience in one or more of the seven SSCP domains. Part-time work and internships can count, and a qualifying degree in computer science, IT or a related field may satisfy the requirement. If you don't yet have the experience you can still pass the exam and become an Associate of ISC2, then earn the experience within two years. This platform is exam practice only — it doesn't grant the certification.
Are these real or leaked exam questions?
No. Every question is original practice material written to mirror the current style, domains and difficulty. We never use or sell brain-dump or leaked content.
What counts as passing?
The real exam scores 700/1000. Our report shows your weighted percentage against an equivalent threshold, plus per-domain proficiency (Above / Near / Below) so you know exactly where to improve.
Do the questions cover AI now?
Yes. The current SSCP outline builds AI security into all seven domains, and ISC2's April 2026 exam guidance on AI maps where those topics appear — our bank includes AI-related questions as they map to the SSCP domains, and we keep adding to this coverage over time.
Do I get explanations?
In practice mode you choose one of three modes — Explain All Attempts, Explain Wrong Attempts Only, or Do Not Explain — and you can switch between them any time during a session. The Exam Simulation never shows explanations, to keep it realistic; a full per-question review is available after practice sessions.
What is the AI Study Coach?
After a session, our AI Study Coach reviews your per-domain results and the questions you missed and produces a personalised study plan — which domains to prioritise, specific sub-topics to review, and next steps. It is generated automatically and saved to your results.
How does access work?
Access is time-based (7-day, 30-day, or 1-year) with unlimited practice and exam simulations inside the window. The clock starts at purchase.
When does my access start?
Immediately. The moment your payment is processed, your access code is emailed to you and the access window begins — just enter the code on the SSCP page and start straight away.
Can I share my access code?
No. Access codes are personal and non-transferable. Sharing, reselling or publishing a code breaches our Terms of Use. We run regular checks to validate active access, and any code found to be shared may be revoked without refund.
A question looks wrong — can I flag it?
Yes. Every question has a Report button in both modes; pick a reason (wrong answer, wrong explanation, or other), add a note, and it comes straight to us for review.
